Mission Statement:  Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to:

    1. Facilitating the adoption of abandoned companion animals into permanent loving homes.
    2. Raising funds to support a low-cost spay/neuter program and TNR Program.
    3. Establishing a no-kill community for NW Alabama.
    4. Educating people on the compassionate treatment and care of companion animals.

Pets Are Worth Saving, P.A.W.S., has served Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin Counties in North Alabama since 2003. We are an all volunteer group.  We do not have a facility; however, each animal that enters our program goes into an approved foster home.  All animals are totally vetted and spay/neutered.  PAWS is funded solely through our fundraising efforts and generous donations from the community.
