Thank you for volunteering your time for Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS). Please read, complete and sign.

Following is a brief description of various areas where P.A.W.S. is in need of volunteer support:

  • FUND RAISING: Work with other volunteers to raise cash donations, supplies, etc. Plan events and sales ideas to raise much needed money for veterinary bills and animal care.
  • FOSTER CARE: Provide temporary housing for animals awaiting adoption. We need homes for healthly animals who just need a temporary place to stay where they will be cared for and loved as well as special needs animals (such as sick or injured animals or bottle-fed kittens). Foster homes may choose to foster only healthy, ready-to-adopt animals or may choose to be trained to care for special needs animals.
  • ADOPTION EVENTS: Volunteers needed to participatein adoption events (please check schedule for exact dates and times). Part-time help is welcome. Volunteers are neede3d to set up and maintain cages, provide attention to the animals, work the merchandise table and clean up after the event.
  • NEWSLETTER/GRAPHICS: Work with other volunteers in creating and publication of newsletter, brochures, flyers for special events, and scrapbooks of adoptable animals.
  • TRANSPORTATION: Animal transport to/from veterinarians, foster homes, adoption events, etc. hauling pet food and other supplies from donation centers (truck or large van required).
  • SHELTER: Volunteers needed to work at shelter, socialize dogs/cats, clean kennels, help with adoptions (primarily on Saturday).

  28. PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) does not assume liability for any injuries or expenses that may be incurred by the volunteer, visitor or famiy whether caused by an animal or another source. By signing this agreement, the volunteer agrees to this condition and will not hold PAWS, or any volunteers, supporters or animals in our care liable.
  29. #I have read, understand and agree to abide by the conditions of the PAWS Volunteer Agreement & Waiver. I understand that all work done with PAWS is at my own risk, and herby release PAWS and its members of any and all public liability, property damages and medical costs while I am volunteering for PAWS.
